Dr. YoonJeong Jang
My research focused on the program of strawberry molecular genetics and genomics is application of molecular genetic/genomic tools such as whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing, and CRISPR gene editing for improving strawberry varieties. Currently, I am working on the discovery of genes for fruity quality and disease resistance using the methods of advanced genomics and molecular-assisted breeding. The results from my research will be valuable to develop superior strawberry cultivars.
