About UF/IFAS CALS at Plant City
Plant City is one of several statewide locations through the University of Florida's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Students can transfer to UF Plant City and earn a Bachelor of Science degree in one of four specializations offered.
Distance education is a flexible option that allows students to further their education while maintaining other responsibilities, such as a full-time job or family. In the Agricultural Education and Communication degree program students take courses in person one-two days a week in Plant City mixed with some online courses. In the Geomatics program students take all courses online with in person labs on select Saturdays in Plant City the first two semesters.
Would you like to take a few courses or earn a degree from the University of Florida but can't move to Gainesville? If so, the UF/IFAS CALS distance education center in Plant City can help! We are conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando and offer courses in two-degree programs with a choice of four different specializations.
