What we do

Current Research Focus:

  • Development of AI-based targeted weed management technologies.  On-going projects in fallow fields, turf, strawberry, and tomato
  • Development of tractor-mounted AI-based sensor systems that detect, identify, and map weeds and pests in specialty crops
  • Weed emergence modelling using AI
  • Fumigant systems for specialty crops and their impacts on the soil microbiome
  • Alternative production systems for specialty crops

Impact

  • Reduced reliance on pesticides
  • Automation of specialty crop production
