If you are enrolled at a community college or have an AA degree...

The Academic Programs Office at the University of Florida - Plant City Campus is organized to help students make the seamless transition so they will have a more successful experience at UF.  One of our primary concerns is to provide students with assistance to make a smoother transition.  This website contains information for transfer students.

If you need any kind of assistance or have any questions that need to be answered, please do not hesitate to contact the Academic Program Coordinator at (813) 707-7330.

Undergraduate Transfer Students
Undergraduate transfer students must have at least a 2.0 grade point average (some majors may require a higher minimum grade point average) in all previous college coursework and be in good standing from the last institution attended.  The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences requires applicants to meet the following requirements before transferring:

  • Obtain an AA degree or 60 transferable credit hours for students transferring from other academic institutions.  Students with fewer than 60 credit hours are not admissible to our program.

  • Complete two years of sequential high school foreign courses or 8-10 hours of sequential college-level foreign language courses.

  • Meet the minimum G.P.A. required for the major (all graded attempts calculated).

  • Complete specific prerequisite courses required for the major - refer to the checklists below.

  • For A.A. degree holders with strong academic records the University of Florida offers a Community College Transfer Academic Scholarship.

  • Students who have completed an A.A. degree from a Florida public community college will be given transfer admission priority.  This does not guarantee admission.
