Welcome New Employees! If you've done any travel or purchasing lately, then you may have already met our new office assistant, Patricia (Trish) Todd .  Trish came on board last month to assist in the many duties of the front office.  She will be working with travel, P-cards, and also act as payroll backup.  Trish's wide range of work experience will equip her for the variety of duties here at GCREC.  She's already been initiated with organizing and updating the burgeoning archive files of the front office. Originally from Ohio, she now resides in Gibsonton.
This is the busy season for David Schuster's Entomology group as you can see from the number of recent OPS new hires.  Two more OPS research assistants have joined the ranks this past month.  Jeff Rose is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science.  He originally finished high school in New York and served in the Army as First Lieutenant.  He now lives in Sun City.    Becky Willis is a long-time Florida resident, finishing high school in Largo and now residing "just around the corner" in Lithia.  We welcome Jeff and Becky to the Entomology experience!
Two of our research scholars have come back after a short return to their homelands.  Tomas Hasing is back from Ecuador and working once more in Natalia Perez's Plant Pathology lab. Tomas received his Bachelor's degree in agriculture from Escuela Agricuola PanAmerica.  Jozer Mangandi is also back from his home in San Salvador, once again assisting in Craig Chandler's Strawberry Research. Jozer received his Bachelor's in Agronomic Engineering from the PanAmerican School of Agriculture.
