Labor Day is a national holiday that is over 100 years old. It has
evolved from a purely labor union celebration into a general "last fling
of summer" festival. It all started in 1884 when the Knights of Labor
held a large parade in New York City to celebrate the working class. The
first states to declare it an official holiday were Oregon, Colorado,
New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. In 1894, Congress made it
an official national holiday. However, you choose to celebrate it, make
it a safe and enjoyable, unofficial end of the summer season. Fall
is right around the corner!________________________________________ Congratulations,
