- It will control nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus and esculentus), but it has
been erratic in the past.
- Drip application has performed more consistently than spray and
rototill.
|
|
7
|
- Drip requires 2 or more tubes on bed top.
- Water volume is important for delivery via drip – 1 acre inch of water
or more.
- Concentration is also important – 6,000 ppm in water.
|
|
8
|
- Concentration + duration = efficacy
- (Rate + water volume) + duration = efficacy

- Does VIF affect nutsedge control with Metam or Chloropicrin?
- Does the addition of Metam to Pic or 1,3-D + Pic aid performance?

- Does VIF affect nutsedge control with Metam or Chloropicrin?
- Yes, VIF mulch improved nutsedge control with Metam-K and Inline, but
had no effect on Pic alone.

|
- Does the addition of Metam to Pic or 1,3-D + Pic aid performance?
- Yes, the best nutsedge control was obtained with either Pic or Inline
followed by Metam-K 5 days after application under VIF mulch.
