Horticultural Science Department at UF

Managing the UF/IFAS strawberry breeding program, Dr. Chandler is involved in a program that exists for the purpose of developing useful cultivars for the Florida strawberry industry.   The productive strawberry breeding program includes two patents currently pending for ‘Florida Radiance’ and ‘Florida Elyana’ Strawberry. Serving on two Ph.D. student committees and three M.S. student committees, giving various invited international and national talks Dr. Chandler's breeding program continues to be very successful.  This past year the program secured $313,718 in royalties and grants.
